You tube has given us a platform to share our creativity via a powerful video media. Today you tube is being used not only for fun but also as one of the most important marketing platform. You too can use this platform to generate a sizable residual income. What is required is a bit of patience, consistency and perseverance. I have dedicated this post about what all possible ways you can use to generate income on You Tube.
You neither need to be a professional photographer to generate your videos nor you need those expensive cameras to shoot your videos.

STEP1 (Video Ideas):

The first step is to explore your hobbies and interests because it is always easier to express ideas if you really passionate about. If you are interested in gardening, it will be really easy for you make videos about gardening and associated topics.
We all have some expertise in our day to day life which we take for granted as these jobs look too simple. For example anybody can change car tires, but you may have some tricks because of which you change tires fast and with less efforts than most of us. If that is the case, why can't you make a video "How to change Car tires fast with less efforts". This is just one example and I can quote thousands of such examples.

Another very effective video idea is what most of you already do. You anyway make videos when you go for vacations. It is just a question of structuring your video to give a travel guide effect. That way, your video is ready to be uploaded on You Tube. Additionally, you can make a video with your city as a theme, a nearby national park as a theme or any tourist place where you visited as a theme.

STEP 2 (How To Make Videos):

Primarily, there are three ways to make videos. Which approach is best for you depends on how adventurous you want to be. So let us understand each way of making video one by one.

Making Videos using Microsoft power point

This is the easiest way of making videos and it very effective as well. You may make a power point slides about your topic and speak about each slide by using embedded voice recorder. If you are not comfortable about speaking your own voice there are two options. Either you insert a piece of music in the background or you may use the following software (If it fits into your budget) which translate your written paragraphs into very well recorded audio.

After you power point presentation is ready, you save the presentation as windows media video format instead of standard PPTX format. Once you have done that, your video is ready to be uploaded on you tube.

Making Videos Using Onscreen Recorders:

This is a very effective way to make your videos specially for software or info products. The Onscreen recorder keeps recording what ever you do on your computer screen. It also allows you to insert audio so that you could explain what ever you are doing. These kind of videos are very effective if you want to give a live demo of your software.

Making Videos using your Camera:

Have fun and earn money. Make a video selecting a theme and upload on You Tube. Shoot a video when you go to zoo, or when you go for vacation etc. You should make your video in small parts as if you are giving information about your theme. For example, when you go for vacation, make a small video of the hotel where you stayed, make a video of all interesting places you visited and then you merge and edit all the videos either Windows movie maker or Microsoft Power point presentation.

STEP 3 (Monetizing Your Video):

I know you were all waiting for this step. So finally it is here. There are two ways you can monetize your videos.

First is by joining You Tube partnership program. You upload your video on you tube and then select the "Monetize my Video" option on your You Tube video. You tube will insert ads on your video and whenever anybody clicks on those videos, You Tube will share revenue with you.

Second and more exciting way of monetizing your videos is by using the "Description" area of your You Tube Video. 

For doing this, you may join a few affiliate programs like JVzoo or Amazon and depending on the type of video you have created, you recommend the related products either amazon or JVzoo in the description area and you get commission every time somebody buys those products by clicking there.

STEP 4 (Getting Traffic To Your Video)

Now this is the problem. Nothing will happen unless you start getting traffic. Best way to get traffic to your video is via Social media sites like facebook, twitter, stumble upon, tumblr etc.

But if you really want to get massive traffic, I very highly recommend you to join a program known as "Magic Submitter" which submits your videos to thousands of search engine directories and social media sites generating massive traffic and hence massive dollars for your video.
